Kurvenkampf = dogfight. In Heroes & Generals the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 and Soviet Yakovlev Yak-9 are almost the same size and shape. The maximum flying speed is same. Main difference between these fighter planes is armament and the type of bombs they carry. Yak-9 has very good camouflage so that it’s difficult to spot if it’s flying low. On the other hand the bottom of Yak-9 is painted somewhat blue. So it can be hard to see if the plane is against blue sky.

Kurvenkampf = lähitaistelu tai ilmataistelu. Heroes & Generalsissa saksalaisten Messerschmitt Bf 109 ja neuvostolainen Yakovlev Yak-9 ovat lähes saman kokoisia ja muotoisia. Molemmilla on sama suurin lentonopeus. Suurin eroavaisuus näillä taistelulentokoneilla on aseistus ja minkälaisia pommeja ne kykenevät kantamaan. Yak-9:llä on erittäin hyvä naamioväri niin, että sen havaitseminen on hankalaa jos se lentää matalalla. Toisaalta Yak-9:n alapuoli on maalattu jokseenkin siniseksi. Siksi se voi olla vaikea nähdä jos se lentää sinistä taivasta vasten.
