Yak-9 in H&G is actually a variant or model Yak-9B. The Yak part in it’s name is from Yakovlev. In my understanding exactly this variant is also in War Thunder, or maybe it’s currently being developed. Here’s a full match of H&G with me playing Yak-9 and trying to drop some US and German fighter planes from the sky.

Heroes & Generals just received the Young version and some quite nice things, of which I think the most interesting is a new game mode. It’s called Encounter. Young brought new weapons and vehicles as well, like Kettengrad for Germans and PPS-43 for Soviets. Encounter is currently an infantry-only mode that has only one map (namely Depot). In that map is only one objective.

Yak-9 H&G:ssä on itse asiassa variantti tai malli Yak-9B. Nimessä oleva Yak-osa tarkoittaa Yakovlevia. Käsittääkseni tismalleen sama variantti löytyy myös War Thunderista, tai ehkä se on vasta kehitysasteella. Tässä videossa näet täyden matsin Heroes & Generalsia, jossa meikäläinen lentää Yak-9:llä ja yrittää pudotella taivaalta yhdysvaltalaisia ja saksalaisia lentokoneita.

Heroes & Generalsiin ilmestyi juuri Young-päivitys ja sen mukana eräitä mukavia uudistuksia. Niistä kiinnostavin on mielestäni uusi pelimoodi. Se on nimeltään Encounter (Kohtaaminen). Young toi tullessaan myös uusia aseita ja ajoneuvoja, kuten Kettengradin saksalaisille ja PPS-43:n neuvostojoukoille. Encounter on tällä hetkellä vain jalkaväen hahmoilla pelattavissa, eikä siihen kuulu kuin yksi kenttä (nimeltään Depot). Tuossa kentässä on vain yksi kohde, jonka hallinnasta kaksi tiimiä taistelee.
